Overnight with the Otters! When the lights go off and the last of the day’s visitors are ushered out of the Aquarium, few people realize that the real fun has only begun. Many animals and certain species of fish become more active during the evening hours, when a whole new world of wonders comes alive at the Great Lakes Aquarium.

By booking one of our unique overnight events, your group can have the entire Aquarium to yourselves, freeing you up to explore the exhibits through a series of classes, scavenger hunts, behind-the-scenes tours, and more.

When it’s finally time to turn in, participants can roll out their sleeping bags in designated areas throughout the aquarium, before drifting off among peaceful fish and the soothing sounds of rushing water. With a 7:00 a.m. wake-up call, participants will have just enough time to pack up their gear, enjoy a continental breakfast and work on a brief wrap-up activity before departing at 9:00 a.m.

Plus, at $30 per youth participant/$10 per adult chaperone (minimum 20 participants, or $600), rates are comparable to even the most modest of local accommodations.
