Aquatic Invaders

You have heard about them in the news.

Now get a closer look at lamprey, gobies, zebra mussels, and other invasive species in the Aquatic Invaders exhibit. Uncover ways our community and YOU can stop the spread of invasive species. Explore how these misplaced fish, plants, and invertebrates compete with native species, hitch rides to new locations, and change their adopted ecosystems.

This exhibit was made possible with support from the US EPA and the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI).

Repel the Invaders!

A new shadow sensitive interactive display at Great Lakes Aquarium. This exhibit was designed by students and staff at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s VizLab. Reach out to the fish! Remove the invasive species! Have fun!
