Hyla versicolor
Physical features:
1.25 to 2 inches in length. Dorsal surface rough. Colors vary with background, season and humidity. No sexual dimorphism.
Habitat:
Swamps, ponds, lakes, fields, rotten logs or hollow trees in deciduous forests.
Diet:
Amphibians, insects, arthropods, mollusks, worms
Fun facts:
Tree frog toepads produce mucous so they can stick to smooth bark or man-made structures.
