Break out of the ballroom and experience the freshwater elegance of hosting after hours celebrations at Great Lakes Aquarium! We can accommodate all your needs, from the wedding shower through the Big Day. We offer space for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, room for seated receptions for up to 160 people, and a sparkling 24-foot water wall as a backdrop for the first dance through the last call. Events with up to 100 Guests
This space can seat up to 100 people for brunch, appetizers or dinner. Basic tables and chairs are provided.
Options are available for daytime rentals four hours or less, and evening or full day rentals.
Wedding only packages:
An outdoor ceremony with peace of mind! Don’t worry about the weather. There is backup indoor set up at the same location. Wedding ceremony packages are two hours total for the ceremony and exhibit exploration afterward.
Ceremony and Reception:
Stress free planning! Interested in hosting a reception here? Add your wedding ceremony for no additional fee. Guests have time to explore exhibits during transition time before dinner.
Full Facility Receptions
Host up to 160 for a seated dinner, and even more for appetizer service, throughout our exhibit floor. Event highlights include a head table in front of the Baptism River, seating throughout the second floor, drinks and mingling by tanks of lake trout and sturgeon, and dance the night away in front of the light 24-foot water wall.
Setup begins at 6 p.m. Events occur from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
A full facility rental includes exclusive access to the building for you and your guests, parking, and on-site aquarium staff.
Great Lakes Aquarium offers you choices when it comes to catering. Our preferred caterer isand Black Woods Banquet and Catering, but we can approve other licensed caterers upon request. Your caterer must posses a valid liquor license to serve alcohol. You can also contract with one of our approved caterers for bar set up.
