School Age Day Camps

Children in grades 1-12 have opportunities to go behind-the-scenes with staff, get up close with resident animals and explore the wonders of the watery world through camps and after school programs. Summer and vacation camps are available for individual registrations.

Early Childhood Programs (toddler, preschool, kindergarten)

Young learners are welcome and celebrated at Great Lakes Aquarium. We offer specialized classes and activities for children ages 1-6. Classes include stories, songs, movement, tactile and sensory exploration, art, and science.

Sensory Friendly Experiences

Great Lakes Aquarium is an energetic, colorful place full of sensory stimuli, and we know this environment can be overwhelming for some explorers! Find out how the Aquarium can provide a positive, welcoming experience.

Internships

Want to be a marine biologist? There are so many ways to work with aquatic and marine animals in a zoo and aquarium setting. Internships and job shadows are available with our animal care department to get a taste of what it is like to care for fish, otters, turtles and birds!
