Registration for fall Whirligigs will open on TUESDAY, August 18 at 6:00 a.m.
Whirligigs is a developmentally appropriate, one-day-a-week, drop-off program for preschool-aged children that encourages them to explore and learn. At Great Lakes Aquarium, we believe in learning through play. Child-led play is at the center of this program’s curriculum because play provides opportunities for children to develop observation and questioning skills, early math and literacy knowledge, social-emotional skills, and so much more while promoting the development of a deep connection to nature.
Our experienced educators provide a safe and inviting space to explore the natural world through age-appropriate, engaging activities. Whirligigs Preschool Program is open to potty-trained children ages 3 – 5. Children must turn 3 before their first registered class. Pre-registration is required.

Age: Potty-trained 3 – 5 year olds
Session Dates: Weekly classes run September 22-December 17 (no class November 24-26)
Session options:
Tuesdays 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Tuesdays 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Wednesdays 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Thursdays 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Cost (per 12-class package): $205 members | $230 non-members
