Enjoy the summer at Great Lakes Aquarium! Join us every week for al fresco food and beverages on the Duluth Harbor featuring $5 local beers, wine, and non-alcoholic options, weekly performances by local artists, and a rotating selection of food trucks.
Beer Garden Admission
Beer Gardens are free to attend!
Enjoy food, beverages, and live music in our outdoor beer garden space with spectacular views of the Duluth Harbor and Aerial Lift Bridge.
Cash or credit accepted at outdoor bar. Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol.
Aquarium Admission
Inside exploration of the Aquarium’s exhibit floor is open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Standard admission rates apply for exhibit floor access.
Indoor restrooms will remain open until the beer garden closes at 8:00 p.m.

FAQs
What happens if it rains?
In the event of inclement weather, that week’s beer garden will begin at 6 PM when the Aquarium closes to the public (rather than the typical 5 PM start time.) And music and bar service will be moved into the Aquarium’s lobby, in front of the 24-foot water wall. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for timely updates or call the front desk at (218) 740-3474.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed in the outdoor beer garden space. We simply ask that you and your companion remain respectful of our live performances and other guests.
Aside from service animals, pets are not allowed for indoor beer gardens (as an inclement weather plan). Please see the FAQ above for more information on beer gardens during inclement weather.
Are children allowed?
Children are allowed in the outdoor beer garden space. Guests must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to purchase and/or consume alcohol on the premises.
How green is the beer garden?
All cups and cutlery provided by Great Lakes Aquarium are compostable. We ask that you please respect our three-compartment waste system by helping us to recycle and compost used items when appropriate.
Is smoking allowed?
As an extension of the Aquarium facility, smoking is not permitted in the beer garden.
