Fish exist in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Unique characteristics called adaptations help them survive in their watery environments. In Part 1, two student volunteers “dress” in the unique features of predator and prey fish. In Part 2, the class decides what a local lake or river environment might be like in the year 4000. Each student then designs a fish with adaptations suited to this habitat of the future.
