In a simulation game, students play the role of fish attempting to survive a Minnesota winter. Discover how ice and snow cover can affect dissolved oxygen levels in the water, and why oxygen is the most important limiting factor for fish in climates with cold winters. Students revise their behaviors just as fish do, to increase their chance of survival.
